Hyperhidrosis Treatment in Sherwood Park
Sweating is a normal body function. Everyone sweats, however, for men and women that suffer from excessive sweating their quality of life can be seriously affected. OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) is a natural, purified protein with the ability to temporarily block the secretion of the chemical that is responsible for "turning on" the body's sweat glands. By blocking, or interrupting, this chemical messenger, botulinum toxin "turns off" sweating at the area where it has been injected. Botox injections are very shallow, meaning that the medicine is injected just below the surface of the skin, where it remains. Effects can last from 4 to 12 months.
Hyperhidrosis Reimbursement Program supports the coverage of BOTOX® to treat your excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis).
How it works:
At the time of your appointment, you will only need to pay an injection fee ($250). (This does not include the medication cost for BOTOX®). You will also complete the reimbursement form which is then faxed to a pharmacy of your choice.
In a couple of days the pharmacy will inform you of the status of your insurance coverage for the BOTOX® medication. They will then help you with the process to obtain your reimbursement for the hyperhidrosis treatment.
If you are denied insurance coverage, then 100% of the medication cost is covered for your first appointment by ProDermaCare.
